New GDP Webinars Launch in September

Starting in September, Global Dairy Platform members can get up to speed on current issues affecting dairy nutrition, regulatory affairs and communication from international experts – without ever leaving their desks.

The webinar series, accessible from www.globaldairyplatform.com, offers 30-minute video streams featuring some of the leading authorities in milk and dairy.

The first already available webinar speaker is Doug DiRienzo, Senior Vice President for Research and Development at Dairy Management Inc., who has presented a discussion on potential avenues to positively reposition milkfat in a healthy diet.

Subsequent webinars will discuss the following subjects:

• Are naturally produced transfats a problem?
• Proven scientific benefits of whey protein
• Linking weight loss/weight management and dairy
• Likely effects of nutrient profiling
• Health and nutrition claims

Check www.globaldairyplatform.com for the schedule. Once streamed for the first time, the webinars then will be archived on the GDP website. Also already available in the archive is the marketing program, “Building a Global Model for Analysing Consumer Demand”, that was presented by GDP and Dairy Australia on 7 September.
