Member Services
Our Members
Global Dairy Platform members are dairy cooperatives and publicly and privately held companies involved in the sale of milk and milk products. With voting privileges at the annual meeting, members have the opportunity to influence and propose direction for GDP’s programmes and services. Membership fees are graduated based on a company’s annual gross revenue. Our members include such major dairy corporations as Danone, the world’s largest seller of fresh dairy products; Kraft Foods, one of the biggest dairy processors in the world; Land O’Lakes, one of the prominent farm-owned cooperatives in the United States; Murray Goulburn, Australia’s most significant exporter of dairy products; and Nestle, the leading global producer of food and beverages.
Membership also is open to dairy associations and other non-profit dairy organisations, which do not pay a membership fee. While these members are non-voting, they are strongly encouraged to actively participate in the work of GDP, such as sharing important local issues and gathering data. Already on board are the Dairy Council of Northern Ireland, Danish Dairy Board and the UK Dairy Council.
Associate-level membership is open to dairy-related companies and associations, such as suppliers and other companies or associations, that have an interest in the success of milk and dairy initiatives. For an annual fee, these organisations benefit from annual GDP events, resources and networking. Associates members include CoBank, which is part of the U.S. Farm Credit System, and Tetra Laval, a leader in processing, packaging and distribution of dairy products.
