Since its founding in 2006, Global Dairy Platform has grown from four founding members to more than 50 members worldwide, including the world's largest and most successful dairy corporations and non-profit entities. Now GDP is foused on articulating its strategic plan to move the organisation forward.

Nearly four years ago, I proposed an idea. As chief executive of Fonterra, I suggested it was time to capitalise on growth in the global dairy industry, which led to the formation of Global Dairy Platform. Now in 2008, we are ready to move to the next stage. |
As seismic changes take place within the dairy industry, it is time to explore areas where we can cooperate to tackle issues of common interest. Now we have the chance to pool resources and expertise to start to create real impact on dairy's behalf. |
The International Dairy Federation's association with Global Dairy Platform has developed very well over time, and IDF is pleased with progress made. The IDF will continue to support GDP in the next crucial phase of its development. |
